Rdiffweb 2.11.0

New Release Highlights

We’re excited to introduce a feature‑packed new release of rdiffweb! This update brings several major additions that improve security, administration, and usability for both small deployments and large backup infrastructures.

Below are the features we think you'll care about most.

New Features

This release introduces several highly requested capabilities:

• Disable user accounts:
Administrators can now deactivate accounts without deleting them. This is especially helpful for temporary suspensions, off‑boarding, or tightening access control.

• Delete users with or without data:
You now decide whether removing a user should also remove their backup data—giving you full lifecycle control over accounts.

• OAuth authentication support:
(Sponsored by Orion Service Numérique)

A modern authentication workflow is now available, enabling easier integration with identity providers and centralized login systems.

• Activity log:
A major step toward better auditing and transparency.

All key actions on users and repositories can now be tracked, and administrators can attach comments or messages to records.

Improvements, Fixes, and Internal Changes

This release includes many other refinements: performance improvements, updated translations, faster repository loading, compatibility updates for Ubuntu Plucky, Debian Trixie, and Python 3.13, plus numerous bug fixes and internal cleanup.

To keep this post focused on what matters most, we won’t list everything here—
